Anyone over the age of 50 is eligible to use our services, although we do not discourage anyone younger from coming and enjoying our lunches, shopping in our gift shop, taking an exercise class, or attending one of our many other activities.  We hope to help seniors enjoy and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

Why did you decide to become a volunteer with the Columbia Senior Activity Center?

After enjoying some of the activities and visiting with people at the senior center, I realized that the Senior Center activities are organized and run by volunteers.  I want to do my part to keep the Senior Center a place that other seniors will enjoy as much as I have.

Daytime activities at the senior center include seminars, games, cards, Bingo, exercise classes, line dancing, blood pressure screening, and lunch.  There is a Billiards Room for those that enjoy a game of 8-ball.  There is also a library with a large selection of books.  Special Events such as the Garage Sale, Ice Cream Social, music entertainment, various luncheons, and more.

How does your service help seniors with anxiety, depression, and grief?

We provide a facility and activities where seniors can meet and interact with others with similar interests.

You will be greeted by our front desk person.  You will be given a tour of our facility and information about activities we offer.
